I've been using Seafoam motor...
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Jim
I've been using Seafoam motor treatment for years, going all the way back to when I was a kid. The packaging has changed over time, but the product itself hasn't, and that consistency is part of why I still trust it.\n\nI use Seafoam in several ways. I add it to fuel in small equipment, especially machines that don't get run very often. Even though I already use ethanol-free fuel, Seafoam helps keep carburetors working smoothly and reduces the hunting and surging that can happen as governors and internal parts start to gum up. It makes a noticeable difference in how stable and smooth small engines run.\n\nI also use it in engine oil when I'm working with older engines and trying to gradually clean out carbon and deposits without doing anything aggressive. And I use it through the intake to help clean the intake system and the backside of the intake valves. It's versatile and genuinely useful.\n\nI'm normally skeptical of “magic in a can” products that claim to fix everything. I'm not a fan of dumping chemicals into engines unless I truly believe they work. Seafoam is one of the very few exceptions. In my experience, it actually does what it says it will do, and the results are noticeable.\n\nThis is the only product I use for this purpose, not because of brand loyalty or hype, but because it's earned my trust over time. It improves engine smoothness, helps keep fuel systems clean, and extends the life and reliability of small equipment and older engines.\n\nIt's worth every penny, and it's one of those rare products that lives up to its reputation.

Repowered my 20-y/o truck!
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Krizbee
At 220k miles, my 99 Ford Expedition just lacked that Triton-giddyup she once had. After 20 years of 87 octane gas, I fed her some 89 octane, and I was chirping tires again! \r\nOf course, that means I had a lot of carbon buildup in the cylinders, which increases combustion pressure, which requires a higher octane fuel.\r\nSo, I decided to juice her up with a full Seafoam treatment...in the tank, in the oil, and in the throttle body.\r\nFollowed the directions, and I'm back on 87 octane gas, and yeah, back to chirping tires!\r\n\r\nNote: I service my own vehicle. All work is only done by me. Oil changes every 3k, despite lab-results saying I could extend OCI's (oil change intervals). \r\nI did not make the great smoke-show that you may have seen on youtube, but that may have been due to an already "fairly" clean engine. However, all smoke-shows aside, this 3-way Seafom treatment definitely reduced my engine's compression to more normal limits. I wished I had done a compression test before and after, but sadly, I did not, as I just wanted it done. My engine never "pinged", and always ran great, before and after Seafoam. The only benefits I got from Seafoam where EXACTLY the ones I had hoped for:\r\n1. More power\r\n2. Back to Ford recommended octane gas for my truck=87\r\n\r\nI am a believer. Can't wait to Seafoam the wife's car!

Works Great on Outboard Motors
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·ChesterfieldMike
Used this stuff for the first time on a Canadian fishing trip a few years back. After driving for 12 hours, finally unloading the boat into the water, and excited to go fishing, the outboard engine started acting up big time. It was very hard to start, which was unusual, and ran terrible before cutting off. I repeated this several times, with the same result. The resort owner saw me struggling at the dock, and came down with a can of Sea Foam, and said "try this". I poured it in the tank, got the motor running, and we basically just puttered around by the cabins the first night, afraid to go out any farther. But after about a day, the problem resolved itself and the motor ran great the rest of the week. I don't know if it was water in the gas, or a gummed up carburetor, or both. But the Sea Foam corrected it. I've used it a couple times since on a pontoon boat I have. Seems to be just the solution when you have let an outboard set too long between sessions of running it.

Reviewed on www.walmart.com·James
I've been using Sea Foam SF16 Motor Treatment (16 oz) for a while now, and it's one of those products I always keep on hand. It works great in my vehicles and small engines. I've added it to gas tanks and even used it for cleaning purposes as directed, and I've noticed smoother idling and better overall performance.\n\nWhat I like most is how versatile it is. You can use it in cars, trucks, lawn equipment, and generators, which makes it a solid value for the money. It's simple to use—just pour the recommended amount in and let it do its thing.\n\nIt's not some miracle fix for serious mechanical problems, but for routine maintenance and keeping engines clean internally, it does exactly what it claims. I'll definitely keep buying it. Highly recommend if you want to help extend engine life and maintain performance.

11/1/2025 As long the 16oz. bottle remains at the current price, unbeatable. More cost effective than the 20oz. I use it in an old RV. I got a check engine light for "left bank running lean" ? whatever that means. So I bought a buttload of this stuff, (75 gal. tank), cleaned the thottlebody with the SEAFOAM SS14 spray, replaced the MAP sensor and fuel filter. Ultimately I got the CE light to stay off (using a code reader from Harbor freight) and have been periodically running Seafoam ever since. \nSince the RV is only driven a couple thousand miles a year, the Seafoam also claims to be a fuel stabilizer while it is sitting between trips.\n\nI've considered using the MUCH CHEAPER SUPERTECH version, but my limited research tell me the SEAFOAM is probably safer.

you need to use this on a GDI engine . Easy to set up, if you use this you'll need to cut with a pair of scissors the red end of the straw that goes into the intake manifold. 2019 Kia Sorento V6 you have to take out the battery, the air filter box and then detach the round rubber airflow assembly just before the throttle body to insert the U-Shaped hollow plastic straw. once you have it all back together start your engine and make sure it is at operating temperature and use a cut to size 2x4 to place in between the throttle pedal and the front of your seat to hold it to 2000 RPMs. follow directions to the letter and like I found out it made a big difference in acceleration smoother acceleration once the crud was cleaned off the intake valves and valve seats.

This product does what it says. I have used seafoam in my gas tank and in with my oil, but this solved my issue on my 2019 Kia Optima. Sometimes on start up it would act like it was not getting enough fuel. Once started, it would stutter a bit when accelerating; again, the only thing I can liken it to was not getting enough fuel. This would go away after a good 15 minutes of driving. This has happened since I bought the car with 13k miles. It now has 42k. I decided to give this a try since my car is GDI and it cleans what the tank and oil additive cannot. I followed the instructions exactly and I no longer have issues on start up and acceleration is smooth. Although, I have not noticed an increase in mpg. I will start using this at every oil change.

Product is exactly as described! Returned power to my 20-year-old truck and definitely cleaned out a bunch of gunk (from the blackness of the oil afterwards). Buying both saves a bunch of moneys over buying individually, so go for this kit if you're planning on buying both anyway.\n\nFollow the instructions for sure - it's a relatively involved process and something I had to carve out time to actually accomplish. The fuel and engine additive was quick and easy, but the intake spray requires a very specific sequence of events in order to follow the instructions.\n\nIf you're unhappy with your older vehicle's power and have already checked the easy stuff, this is a cheap and quick way to make sure it's not just residual garbage.

I initially started using Seafoam after buying an older Carbureted boat engine, that was running very rough on 3 year old low grade gasoline after having sat a while, I couldn't syphon the old gas out due to anti syphon valves in the filler tube. I put in about 10 oz of Seafoam per Gallon in the tank and then started the engine, it finally started and smoked quite a bit due to all the varnish burning up. I then ran the too engine cleaner through the carburetor, the engine went from barely running and stalling to running smoothly and with power.

Then go kick it hard on a 10-15 minute drive and watch in your rear view mirror for a show. A giant cloud of burnt carbon. Works.

I add this to older cars' engine oil to clean up the inside of the engine. The whole process is kind of labor-intensive, but it's worth it. A dingy and tarnished engine will look nearly new after using this stuff. IMPORTANT: Don't leave it in your oil for hardly any time at all. Basically, put the recommended amount in, drive it 50 to 100 miles the same day, come back immediately and do an oil change, drive it another 50 to 100 miles the same day, then come back *again* and do another oil change. The reason why you have to do this is to keep from damaging plastic and rubber seals inside the engine. I've also tried this as a fuel injector cleaner but the jury is still out on that.
