Saving old prescriptions and expired medications can be dangerous! Old or expired medications can lose potency, they are at risk of harmful bacterial growth or chemical changes, and they pose a risk of accidental poisoning, and can contribute to drug misuse. Expired or unused medication should be properly disposed of to prevent these risks. If you have unused or expired medications sitting in a drawer or a medicine cabinet, dispose of them during Drug Take Back Day on October 25, 2025. HCSO team
