On Dec. 7, 1993, Colin Ferguson, 35, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, opened fire aboard a Long Island Rail Road commuter train during rush hour. Ferguson methodically walked through the train, firing at random and pausing to reload as screaming passengers tried to flee. In the end, he left six people dead and 19 injured.
